Jesus; friend, mentor, and video editing specialist.

I have recently been doing a bit of video editing for work and for family stuff.  I actually find the art very interesting.  I have also come to the conclusion that Jesus must be very good at editing videos.  Let me explain.

First a little clarity of my understanding.  When I was in college one of my professors, Dr. Fetters, used to say that "all analogies are only a 3 legged chair."  That all analogies are imperfect examples used to illustrate a specific point about a thought or belief.

Now the analogy of Jesus the video editor.  Any parent who has looked through the viewfinder of a video camera or anyone who has old memories of dad or grandpa pulling out the 8mm projector and  family video night will appreciate this.  After I get done parsing down 20mins -3hs of video (which takes a while btw) to get that 3-10 minute vignette I begin to appreciate what Jesus does for our lives when we stand before God.

When I envision standing before God at the Judgement seat I believe that God will be presented an edited version of my life (all 95 [I can hope can't I] years) A life that Jesus will have spent his blood editing to present a whole new vibrant picture of love and purity so that God will show his unfailing love and Mercy to me.  I can envision a Johnny Cash, Hillsong, David Crowder, Nirvana, Kenny Chesney, Metallica, Chris Tomlin, Dave Matthews,  Burlap to Cashmere, Rich Mullins, Fernando Ortega, Jars of Clay, Todd Agnew, John Denver, Nickelback, U-2, Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Tim McGraw soundtrack playing across my life.  What would be your soundtrack?
